Maggie Roswell-bio

Maggie Roswell has co-starred on camera in such films as Lost In America, Pretty In Pink, Midnight Madness, Switchback and Silver City. She also starred in the animated films Fire and Ice and as a captive penguin in The Pebble and The Penguin. Maggie starred in the television series The Tim Conway show (with Tim Conway and Harvey Korman) as well as NBC's Comedy Break. 

Maggie has starred in numerous musicals and plays across the country. She was in Harvey Lembeck’s Improvisation group for over 10 years playing with such luminaries as Robin Williams, John Larouquette, John Ritter and many more. After years with Lembeck Maggie became a protégé of Viola Spolin (the God Mother of Improvisation.) She was directed by Spolin’s son Paul Sills, in the improvisation hit Sills and Company on Broadway.

 Ms. Roswell has appeared in over 60 episodic television shows. Maggie has done on-camera and voice over in hundreds of commercials as well as writing radio spots that have won Clios and Belding awards. She created the voices of Maude Flanders, Helen Lovejoy, Ms. Hoover, Luann Van Houten and many others for nearly 25 seasons of Fox's The Simpsons. Ms.Roswell received an Emmy and an Annie Nomination for her work as Sharry Bobbins in the Simpsons “sendup” of Mary Poppins.

She and husband Emmy nominee Hal Rayle have a recording studio in Burbank, California where they are able to record The Simpsons and run Roswell & Rayle Inc. a global audio-entertainment business.

Maggie Roswell does private coaching for voice over. She also coaches for the meet & greet (interviewing face to face with other humans). Maggie says “ Trust me, in this age of social media…that skill is a lost art.” She has taught at U.C.L.A, Starz/Encore, Denver Center Theater, Thespians International, and coached privately for over 20 years.
